When my mother was first diagnosed with increased blood density, she was prescribed medication. But at the same time, the doctor said one important thing: “What’s on your plate is also important.”
Indeed, there are foods that help the blood stay fluid, reduce the likelihood of blood clots, and relieve the work of the heart and blood vessels.
I have put together a list of simple and affordable products that can easily be included in the daily menu.
Avocado and olive oil
These products contain healthy unsaturated fats that help thin the blood and help reduce the level of “bad” cholesterol. I often add avocado to salads, and I use olive oil instead of ready-made sauces. The main condition is that the oil be cold-pressed, and not subjected to frying.
Oily fish
Mackerel, herring, sardines, salmon are extremely rich sources of omega-3 fatty acids. They not only strengthen the heart, but also make the blood more “alive”. Now my mom makes roasted mackerel with lemon at least twice a week — simple and incredibly healthy.
Garlic and onions
