ITALIAN CRESCENT CASSEROLE (Low Carb)

Ingredients:

For the “Crescent” Dough:

2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 oz cream cheese

2 large eggs
1 cup almond flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
For the Casserole Filling:

1 pound ground Italian sausage or ground beef
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup marinara sauce (look for a low-carb option or make your own)
11/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
